BLACK PEPPER

Black pepper (Piper nigrum), generally known as pepper, is a perennial climbing vine in the family Piperaceae, and the spice that is derived from its fruits is extremely pungent. One of the first known spices is black pepper, which is indigenous to India's Malabar Coast. Pepper is a common spice used all over the world, and it is also occasionally used in medicine as a carminative (to reduce flatulence) and a stimulant of stomach secretions.
